We are again pleased to welcome Stephano D’Silva, a guitarist and singer based in North London and the son of the late goan guitarist Amancio D’Silva, back to Nomad Jazz night on Thursday 28th April.
The Stephano D’Silva Quintet play original songs and instrumentals written by the guitarist/singer, inspired in great part by the city of London and drawing on grooves from around the globe, in a line up that includes the powerful French tenorist Oli Arlotto, bassist Pablo Ramos, the utterly graceful electric violinist Andy Tsao and the sublime Thomas White on drums.
Their grooves span swing, soweto, blues, funk and rock, heavy on improvisation and sublime on harmonies, featuring all the soloists in full.
